DJ-AM, Adam Goldstein Found Dead In Manhattan Apartment
DJ AM was found dead this morning in an apartment on Lafayette Street in Manhattan. Sources said drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment.
His last tweet on August 25th read: “New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.”
It’s such a shame to see a true gift to the music world swept out from under us. DJ AM will truly be missed, he was an idol and a legend – the things he did on his own and with Travis Barker were monumental.Rest In Peace Adam, our prayers are with your friends and family. “Cops tell us DJ AM — also known as Adam Goldstein — was found dead this morning in New York City.
The NYPD tells us he was found in his apartment at around 7 AM.
Sources tell TMZ DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days. This morning, one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response when after knocking on his apartment door.
We’re told the friend called the police, who broke down the door and found DJ AM’s body.
Back in September of 2008, DJ AM and Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina. Four people died in the crash — which was caused when the airplane aborted takeoff and then ran off the runway. DJ AM and Barker were the only survivors.”
